Keep up with me as I work through the endless backlog of books, shows, and movies I've been meaning to go through! I'm somewhat of an aggrivatingly slow reader/audience member, so this area doesn't get updated too often lol.
In 2024 I have a reading goal of 12 books in 12 months (including all my current reads that carry over from the last year)! In early January I created and filled in a StoryGraph page in an effort to gamify, visualize, and give myself somewhere I could browse recommended books based on my tastes.
Sexuality in Medieval Europe: Doing Onto Others by Ruth Mazo Karras
179/235 pages[Finished 22/01] Living Life Inside the Lines: Tales from the Golden Age of Animation by Martha Goldman Sigall — I wish I could have read another 250 pages of Martha's writing. She's a lovely storyteller and her insights were so incredibly valuable to the industry. I gave this book 5 stars.
[Finished 09/05] Imagination Illustrated: The Jim Henson Journal by Karen Falk — This is a wonderful retrospective of Jim Henson's career and a lovely insight into his work process and schedule. There are so many lovely pictures, and a great chronological filmography included in this book. I probably won't read it again, but I'm keeping it specifically for that list which includes the more niche projects Jim worked on and/or produced. I gave this book 4 stars.
